In June of 2010, Trinity embarked on a plan to grow the congregation. For many years, we have been a small congregation, but we are ready to share the love of the Trinity--the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--with more people! This is no small undertaking, and will require the prayers and commitment of our members and friends. We invite you to read more about this plan and to get actively involved. See the meeting minutes below. Pray for Trinity, let Pastor Davenport or a Council member know your ideas and concerns, and feel free to attend a meeting to discuss this effort (check the calendar for the next meeting date). Pastor Davenport notes that a leader is needed for each of our planned outreach projects. Please step forward if you are willing and able to coordinate a team.
A list of outreach ministries designed to foster Trinity's growth has been prepared based on member ideas. These are: Praying for the outreach and growth efforts New Resident Packets Habitat for Humanity An Old-Fashioned Church Picnic and Ice Cream Social A Car Wash (to benefit the SON Ministries food pantry) An Oktoberfest Dinner Vacation Bible School A Seminar Series with emphasis on healthy food/living, with a possible Farmers Market or Garden in future 5th Sunday Activities (Congregational Social Activities) recently added: Tutoring for local school children on Tuesday evenings See who is currently signed up for each on the "sign up lists" pdf below. Don't worry if you haven't signed up yet, there is still room on every team for more! A copy of the sign up sheet is available for download below. Please review the list and see where you can help. Remember, there are many ways to support a project--from shopping to folding napkins to attending an event to, most importantly, praying for the success of the event and our efforts to share the love of God with others.
